ADS1118 16-Bit AD Converter - SPI
Texas Instruments introduced the industry's smallest 16-bit Δ-Σ analog to digital converter (ADC) IC. The converter integrates a programmable gain amplifier (PGA), a reference voltage, a temperature sensor and 4-input multiplexer. The ADS1118 chip measures only 2mm * 1.5mm, compared with the industry's existing 16-bit ADC, it is smaller than most by 65%. The ADS1118 can ensure the realization of the direct linear measurement of less than 0.5°C uncalibrated error, compared with competing products. In addition, it is called the industry's lowest power 16-bit ADC, supports built-in internal reference, can support up to 860 samples per second data rate. This is a bre\akout board for the ADS1118 chip, which makes connecting board easy in any project.
