The discharge controller BMS 8S differs from traditional controllers combined with a charger. The balancer for assembling 8S (8 batteries connected in series, minus to plus) is used to equalize the voltages on each cell for uniform discharge in the future. It discharges banks with a current of 66 mA to a voltage of 4.2 V (useful when the charger is charging or recharging to 4.25V). This allows you to avoid the need for external power supply - the discharge occurs by closing the battery through a resistor.
This balancer does not require external power supply, and balancing is performed not by charging, but by discharging the cells, which is safer and technologically simpler. Analog electronics allow the voltage to be brought to a single value with precision. The voltage on each bank is monitored by a special microcircuit. The maximum assembly voltage should be no more than 33.6V. The board does not protect against overdischarge or short circuit! Recommended for use with battery protection board.
