Hi-Link Face Recognition AI Kit with LCD - Serial
The HLK-TX510 is a module built around the TX510 artificial intelligence chip, which has an AI computing power of 1.2T@8bit / 9.6T@binary. It supports mixed precision, allowing it to quickly detect faces, and offers features such as 3D live detection, 3D face recognition, infrared live detection, and visible light live detection. The module is resistant to 2D attacks, such as photos and videos, as well as 3D attacks, such as masks, making it highly successful in recognizing faces. It has a high recognition success rate and can be used in a variety of industries, including intelligent door locks, intelligent access control, and financial payment systems.

Please Note – UART Communication & Firmware Update
Some users have reported issues with UART communication on the Hi-Link Face Recognition AI Kit (HLK-TX510 module). This has been resolved by upgrading to a community-made English firmware available on GitHub.
Key Details:
- Firmware & tool: FaceRec_BTHome on GitHub (Look for the HLK-TX510_User_Manual_V1.1.en.pdf and the “Test Uplink 1.03” tool)
- Correct UART Pins (after upgrade):
- TX = USI1_SDO
- RX = USI1_SCLK (These are located on the P2 header)
- The P3 header is not used for interfacing
This update improves usability and resolves UART communication issues.
