Pololu Step-Down Regulator – 6V 2.5A
The Pololu Step-Down Regulator (6V 2.5A) is a high-efficiency DC-to-DC converter designed to generate a stable 6V output from higher input voltages up to 36V. Based on a synchronous switching design, this regulator offers significantly improved efficiency (typically 85%–95%) compared to linear regulators, making it ideal for power-sensitive and battery-powered applications.
With support for continuous output currents up to approximately 2.2A (up to 2.5A peak under optimal conditions), the module is well suited for powering microcontrollers, motors, sensors, and embedded systems. It features low quiescent current consumption and includes an enable pin that allows the regulator to enter a low-power sleep state, reducing standby current draw. Built-in protection features, including reverse voltage protection, ensure reliable operation in a wide range of electronics projects.
