DC Large Current Sensor -200A to +200A - 5V Logic

The Pololu DC Large Current Sensor is a robust tool for monitoring high currents in electronic applications, based on Allegro’s ACS37220LEZATR-200B5. This Hall effect-based, electrically isolated sensor is designed for bidirectional currents from -200A to +200A, offering a high 150 kHz bandwidth and a rapid response time of less than 4 µs. Its extra-low internal resistance of 0.1 mΩ minimizes power loss and heat generation, making it ideal for high-current applications. The sensor provides electrical isolation, enhancing safety and flexibility in placement within the current path.


Featuring integrated digital temperature compensation and a user-configurable overcurrent fault output, this sensor ensures accurate performance across various operating temperatures. The large carrier board, constructed with 6 layers of 2-oz copper PCB, supports efficient heat dissipation and easy integration with its breadboard-compatible pins. Clearly labeled connection points and the direction of positive current flow simplify installation. Designed for nominal 5V operation, this sensor is marked with “5V B20” for easy identification.
