Pololu Isolated DC-DC Converter – 5V / 3.3V 200mA
The Pololu Isolated DC-DC Converter provides regulated and galvanically isolated power for sensitive electronics and mixed-signal systems. Designed to deliver either 5V or 3.3V output at up to 200mA peak current, this compact module helps prevent ground loops and unwanted ground currents by electrically isolating the output ground from the input supply. This isolation improves system stability and protects connected circuitry in complex embedded or industrial environments.
The module is built around the MPS MIE1W0505BGLVH, which provides up to 2.5 kVRMS isolation between the input and output. By default, the module outputs 5V, but the voltage can be switched to 3.3V using the onboard selection pin. Additional features such as short-circuit protection and over-temperature protection enhance reliability. With its compact size and breadboard-compatible 0.1″ pitch through-hole layout, the module integrates easily into prototypes, embedded systems, and isolated sensor or communication circuits.
