The Adafruit STSPIN220 Stepper Motor Driver Breakout is a compact and easy-to-use solution for precise stepper motor control in applications such as CNC machines, 3D printers, and robotics. Built around the STSPIN220 driver chip, it delivers smooth, high-precision motion with built-in microstepping support, current limiting, and overcurrent protection, making it ideal for reliable motor control in space-constrained or low-voltage systems.
Designed for simplicity, this driver eliminates the need for complex PWM or timer configurations by using a straightforward STEP and DIR interface, allowing full control with just two GPIO pins. With configurable microstepping up to 1/256 steps, onboard current adjustment, and clear LED indicators for direction and stepping activity, it provides both flexibility and real-time feedback for prototyping and development.
