DDS228 Energy Meter Single Phase - 50A

The DDS228 is a modular DIN rail energy meter that has a 50A rating. It is specifically designed to deliver exceptional performance, while being both safe and easy to install. This meter boasts high accuracy and durability, as well as a strong ability to resist tampering and overloading. It conforms to the international requirement of IEC62053-21, and also passes EMC and LVD standards.

This model only supports kWh readings.

DDS228 Modbus Parser Python Code

1. Open CMD and Install Dependencies: Ensure that you have the pyserial library installed.
   
   You can install it using pip: pip install pyserial


2. Connect the Energy Meter


3. Configure the Code: Locate the construct_modbus_request function and ensure that the slave ID (device address) is set correctly. In the provided code, the slave ID is set to 0x01


4. Run the Code: Open a terminal or command prompt and navigate to the directory containing the Python script.
   
   Run the script by executing the following command: python script_name.py
