RDK X5 Stereo 2MP AI Vision Camera - 178° FOV

The RDK X5 Stereo AI Vision Camera Module is a high-performance binocular depth camera designed specifically for the D-Robotics RDK X5 development board. Featuring dual 2MP color image sensors and an ultra-wide 178° field of view, this module enables accurate depth perception and comprehensive environmental awareness for advanced AI vision applications. By combining stereo imaging with optimized depth algorithms accelerated by the RDK X5’s dedicated BPU (Brain Processing Unit), it delivers efficient real-time depth computation without overloading the main processor.



Built around the SC230AI image sensor with SmartSens SmartClarity-2 technology, the camera module produces sharp 1920×1080 images with excellent color reproduction and strong low-light performance. The wide baseline and expansive field of view significantly reduce blind spots, making it ideal for robotics navigation, obstacle avoidance, SLAM, gesture recognition, and 3D environment mapping. For night-time or zero-light scenarios, the module supports the use of external infrared fill lights (sold separately), enabling reliable vision in complete darkness.
