ITR9909 Reflective Sensor (4 Pack)
The ITR9909 consist of an infrared emitting diode and an NPN silicon phototransistor, encased side by side on converging optical axis in a black thermoplastic housing. The phototransistor does not recieve light from the IR LED in the normal state, but when an object comes closer, the light is reflected by the object and the closer an object comes, the more light being bounced off of the object which is detected by the phototransistor allowing accurate light level detection.
