TM1990 F5 iButton Reader Module
The TM1990 iButton reader bare module uses the Maxim/Dallas 1-Wire® communication protocol for data transfer. It features a durable, self-aligning stainless-steel probe that ensures reliable electrical contact whenever an iButton tag is applied to the reader. The module is designed to read TM1990 (DS1990A-compatible) iButton keys, which are rugged, coin-shaped identification devices containing a factory-programmed, unique 64-bit serial number. These tags are widely used in access control, attendance tracking, guard patrol systems, and general security applications. The 1-Wire interface requires only a single data line (plus ground), making the module easy to interface with microcontrollers. It is fully supported by common 1-Wire libraries, including Arduino 1-Wire libraries.
