Wave Finger Vein Scanner

The Waveshare Finger Vein Scanner is a compact biometric module designed for secure and reliable identity authentication. Powered by a 192MHz ARM Cortex-M4F processor with floating-point and DSP support, it runs advanced biometric algorithms efficiently while maintaining low power consumption. Unlike traditional fingerprint scanners, it uses near-infrared (NIR) imaging to detect unique vein patterns beneath the skin, offering higher accuracy and resistance to surface damage, dirt, or worn fingerprints.



Its separated lamp and board design allows for flexible integration into smart security devices, including door locks, hidden handles, lockers, and access control systems. With industry-standard fingerprint recognition protocol compatibility, multiple communication interfaces (USB and UART), and a rugged IP56-rated enclosure, this scanner provides developers with a versatile, high-security solution for next-generation smart authentication systems.
