SparkFun MP3 Trigger
The MP3 Trigger board simplifies adding high-quality MP3 audio to projects. It features 18 hardware trigger inputs for instant playback of pre-assigned tracks and a full-duplex serial port for advanced control of up to 256 files, including real-time volume adjustment. Audio files are stored on FAT16 or FAT32 microSD cards, supporting up to 192Kbps stereo playback. Powered by a Cypress PSoC microcontroller and VS1063 codec, it supports customizable trigger functions, restart lockout, and random or sequential playback. A Quiet Mode allows triggers to send serial messages instead of playing tracks directly, enabling flexible host-controlled operation.
