The CH340 is a USB to serial chip which makes conversion now much more affordable as you don't need any crystals as it comes with built-in crystal oscillator, only requires 2 caps, and supports baud rate from 50 bps to 2 Mbps. The CH340N works with CH340/CH341 drivers and comes in a SOP-8 package.
