What is a GDI Port (Interface)

The DFRobot GDI (General Display Interface) port simplifies connecting TFT and OLED displays to compatible ESP32 development boards using an 18-pin, 0.5 mm-pitch FPC ribbon cable.

The interface provides 3.3 V power, GND, SPI signals, display CS, RESET, D/C, backlight control, SD card CS, touch CS, I²C (SDA/SCL), interrupt, busy/TE (tearing effect), and two user-defined GPIO signals, enabling a single plug-and-play connection for display and touch peripherals.
