Pololu Motor Driver 4–40V 4A (7.5A Max.)
The Pololu Motor Driver 4–40V 4A is a compact H-bridge motor driver carrier board based on the MPS MPQ6612A, designed for reliable bidirectional control of a single brushed DC motor. Supporting a wide operating voltage range from 4V to 40V, this versatile driver can deliver up to 4A of continuous current, making it suitable for robotics, automation systems, and other embedded motor control applications.
The driver features integrated current sensing and active current regulation, with a default peak current limit of 7.5A to help protect the motor and driver circuitry. Built-in protection mechanisms include over-current and over-temperature shutdown with a fault output indicator. The carrier board also adds reverse-voltage protection for improved reliability in real-world systems. Motor indicator LEDs provide visual feedback on output states, even when a motor is not connected, simplifying debugging and testing.
