Pololu RC Isolated Switch – 60V 6A
The Pololu RC Isolated Switch is a compact solid-state relay module designed for controlling external devices using standard radio control (RC) signals. By monitoring the pulse width from an RC receiver or servo controller, the module can switch external loads such as lights, motors, pumps, or valves. It compares the incoming RC pulse width to a configurable threshold and activates the output when the signal exceeds the set value, making it ideal for adding auxiliary functions to RC vehicles, drones, and automation systems.
The switching stage uses back-to-back MOSFETs driven through an optically isolated driver, providing full electrical isolation between the control signal and the load. This design enables bidirectional switching and allows the module to be used for either high-side or low-side switching configurations. Compared to mechanical relays, the solid-state design offers silent operation, improved durability, compact size, and resistance to issues such as contact wear or arcing.
