Pololu RC Isolated Switch – 30V 10A
The Pololu RC Isolated Switch is a compact solid-state relay module designed to control external loads using standard radio control (RC) signals. By monitoring the pulse width from an RC receiver or servo controller, the module activates the relay when the signal exceeds a configurable threshold, allowing extra RC channels to control devices such as lights, motors, pumps, or irrigation valves. A learning mode allows the activation threshold and direction to be configured, while built-in hysteresis and a safe-start feature help prevent accidental triggering.
Switching is handled by back-to-back MOSFETs driven through an optically isolated driver, providing full galvanic isolation between the RC control circuit and the load. This arrangement enables bidirectional switching and allows the module to be used in either high-side or low-side configurations. Compared to traditional mechanical relays, the solid-state design offers silent operation, compact size, improved reliability, and resistance to contact wear or electrical arcing.
