This tiny Buck DC-DC Converter is far superior to ordinary linear regulators when it comes to efficiency at 1A output. With the header pins pre-soldered, you may use it in your breadboard project right out of the box. It can be used to replace the famous and commonly used L7805 to get a wider range of Vin.
