Can the DFR1120-868 Operate Standalone, or Does It Require a LoRaWAN Gateway?

The DFR1120-868 is a LoRaWAN end device that can operate standalone for local logic and control without any gateway. However, to send data to the cloud or receive remote commands, it requires a LoRaWAN gateway. This gateway does not have to be the DFR1093-868—any compatible LoRaWAN gateway or public network will work.
